Tobey Maguire and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, have announced they are expecting their second child in the spring. I saw a picture of them the other day and thought I saw a bump. They also have a daughter, Ruby, 2.

Ashlee Simpson and husband, Pete Wentz, have welcomed a boy it has been confirmed. Bronx Mowgli Wentz was born on Thursday night, November 20, and weighed 7 lbs., 11oz.

“Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!” a spokesperson [says].

Ashlee confirmed her pregnancy in May, just after the couple got married. Congratulations go out to the happy family.

Kelly Ripa is always being active with the kids, and this time is no exception. Kelly was spotted with two of her kids, Lola, 7, and Joaquin, 5, walking from school on Wednesday.

Right now, Reese Witherspoon is busy promoting her new movie, Four Christmases, a comedy who she also stars with Vince Vaughn in . I saw the trailer on tv the other day and it looks really funny. Reese took some time out of her busy schedule and talked to Parade about her life, children and marrying again. Here are some highlights of the interview:

On how she and ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, co-parent their two children, Ava and Deacon: “My ex-husband is very involved in raising our beautiful children. We’re very lucky because we both grew up in working families in middle America. We’re on the same page that way. When we’re with our children, we’re very good about checking ourselves.”

On the values she hopes to teach her children: “I’m teaching the children what we were taught growing up—a real set of rules, discipline, and love. Children thrive with a sense of structure, and they’re frightened without it. The ways you behave, how you speak to other people—those things don’t leave you.”

On her worries about her children’s safety: “After my second baby, I was scared. It’s hard to protect your babies from the press and all the people out there wanting a part of you. It made me hibernate a little bit more. I got very ‘Mama Bear’ and protective. You give birth, and worry and guilt come with it. It’s a natural part of being a parent. But for me, the most difficult part is seeing my children being followed and harassed. They’ve been treated terribly. They were shouted at in their Halloween costumes, photographers screaming, ‘You don’t look scared!’ We used to take our daughter to a wonderful school, and she was so harassed that we had to take her out. I hope not to live in this place forever.”

Kate Hudson may be busy with her son, Ryder, 4, right now, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting more kids.

“I can’t wait to have more kids. It’s the best thing ever. I gained 67 lbs and was proud of it. You just have to do what your body tells you, and my body told me I needed to eat a lot of ice-cream! I would eat a tub a day. But when you are pregnant and happy and jolly and fat, you don’t care about the weight.”

It is fun to be able to eat what you want when you are pregnant and gain a lot of weight. It’s just not fun having to lose it all after the baby.

Gwen Stefani was spotted at LAX yesterday returning to the USA with her two kids, Kingston and Zuma, and a nanny. It looks like the paps were really bugging Kingston because he was so upset. It can’t be easy to know that every where you go camera’s are always following you.

Forbes.com ranked celebrity children 5 years old and younger based on media attention and their parents’ popularity. Suri ranked the highest because she was mentioned the most in news stories and web sites.

Alison Sweeney’s character on Days Of Our Lives is pregnant now and in scenes on the show right now where she is in a safe house. I have been watching Days again alot and I noticed there is a lot of pickles in these scenes. And now I know why…Alison is craving pickles! She wrote on her blog the other day on how it all came about that they ended up in the scenes with her…

I went through about a 2 month phase when I just couldn’t get enough pickles. I love them!! And, to be honest, I still don’t turn one down at the deli at lunch. Or anytime really. Sometimes we shoot those scenes at like 9am, and I am still rarin’ to go - psyched to bite into a cold, delicious, sour treat.

So, I asked the prop department to put them in the fridge in the safe house, and then it just became this running gag. You’ll see them appear several more times in upcoming episodes.

I think that’s so funny. When I was pregnant the first time I couldn’t stand pickles. I still can’t eat them! It’s funny how cravings can be like that. My cravings were more like subs from Subway or All Dressed Ripple Chips. Yes, it had to be that exact kind.

Alison is expecting her second child, a girl, in January.
